Tribute to a Teacher

This August brings me back to eight Augusts ago, and the last time I saw my high school teacher ...

How fast the trees have grown

And how fast the years have past

We are no longer with our ribbon tied hair

We are no longer in our blues & whites

We don't xerox notes during "critical" times

And we longer do sports in the school hall

We seem to have traveled many miles & met many new faces

We've braved a few storms & seen our share of rainbows

We've had battles to fight & love stories to tell

We've lost loved ones & found our strongest besties

But through it all, we have not forgotten the mark you’ve left in our lives.

Thank you, Sir Rajendra for your love & dedication. Be happy up there.
